Live, Turn-Based Tactics

When encountering random enemies or bosses in Puli Degens, the field screen will fade out into a battle screen. The Player chooses to perform an action from their available options (such as Attack, Defend, Heal use Abilities, or attempt to capture the enemy Degen).

Companion Degens, however, have Active Battle Meters, which fill up and allow them to "Auto Battle" the enemies, selecting their own targets. Regular attacks and SPECIAL abilities will be performed by the Degens against any or all opponents.

Although the Player has no direct means to control the Degens in battle, their behavior can be influenced by selecting their BATTLE MODE outside of combat, allowing the player to pick which BATTLE MODE would fit his play style and strategy - allowing for a simpler, more efficient way to play the game.

  • Live, turn based battle system, where the player will engage in active combat.

  • The player is free to choose from multiple targets and action options (including CAPTURING the enemy Degen, with an equipped Puli Gem, if present).

  • Companion Degens will "Auto-Battle" enemies, targeting units and executing SPECIAL Attacks on their own.

  • The Player will remain in one side of the battle map, while the enemy stays on the opposite side; various animation will be within his limit, according to the team.

  • Once an action is selected, the animation commences and the action is completed.

  • All enemies can be targeted freely by the player.

  • Companion Degens will execute action only after their ATTACK METER is full, which gets filled at different rates, over time, within the duration of the battle.

  • Once ready to attack, Degens automatically-use whatever action is available to them.

  • Degen Actions are simultaneous and will execute without any action required from the player.

  • The player may set the degens behavior and influence their action when fighting, outside of battle, while still in the overworld.

Focuses on damaging the enemy; no protection for themselves or the Player.

Executes minor attacks, but also heals and protects the player and themselves.

Does little-to-no damage to enemies, but focuses on protecting, buffing and/or healing the player.
